I get curious and want to see if there's a precise solution. If that doesn't seem to indicate anything, my other thought, depending how your controller is in your Device Manager, is to compare the controller's entry in yours vs when connected to your dad's PC.įor me trouble shooting like that is OK but it's not for everyone, so do as you do. Select the file and double click it to launch it. Open the extracted folder and scroll down till you see DS4Windows.exe file. Make sure to extraact the file on desktop / documents folder / downloads folder. Install DS4Windows latest (2023) full setup on your PC and laptop from (100 Safe). Now, install the 7zip software and extract the ds4win tool’s zip file. If not reset, select a timestamp and it'll show the info for it. Download DS4Windows for Windows 11 64 bit. It works perfectly fine connected via USB with Steam but I want to use it wirelessly on my couch. I didn't think of this before trying the uninstall device step but the Events tab could be useful, with the timestamp you could see the info when it was good v bad. Driver will NOT install : r/DS4Windows Driver will NOT install I have been trying to for weeks to get this damn DS4 to connect to my Windows 7 PC WIRELESSLY and nothing is working. If it's multiple, does it show a part as having the error?Ĭould also check each part's Properties > Driver tab and check the driver dates, see if it shows something recent, or option to Roll Back a driver. The DS4 would also show as multiple components but don't know if the error prevents that. In Device Manager, I choose View > Devices by container. I checked out how things look with my PS5 controller over UISB. If the BIOS doesn't resolve things or other steps suggested from the link, here's another possible avenue: Hopefully you tried that earlier step but included a reboot - if that ended up being required and I was like "skip it".
